How do you summarize the 2020 Aberdares Charity Drive in a single sentence? Try “A trip full of fresh mountain air, grand vistas, an interesting selection of herbivores and great company around the campfire”
We started out in Nairobi and headed for the Aberdare National Park via Mutubio gate for two nights of camping, fun, and laughter as we took in the one treasure any off-roader holds dear – a clean and vibrant environment. We then headed down to Maai Mahiu to touch base with Ubuntu Foundation – a charity working to restore hope to community’s through a therapy program targeting children with special needs and their extended families through a blended social enterprise approach.
This trip was indeed a reflection that we are part of something greater than ourselves and in the enjoyment of what we love to do community is important. Our 2020 campaign #TravelWithAPurpose integrates the restoration of habitat with the restoration of hope and we welcome you to partner with us in making our forests greener and touching the lives of many more children with special needs.
