How does a 4 day Easter road trip packed with camping, laughter, good music and excellent scenery and company sound to you? Nice, right? Well this coming Easter weekend Bundu Rovers Club has put together an off-roaders Easter itinerary that takes us to Mbeere, Meru and Laikipia counties with sights and sounds of raging rivers, fiery Mt Kenya and the Laikipia plains to name but a few. We leave Nairobi on the 18th of April and return on the 22nd of April.
What will be happening? This trip is lined up with goats, juicy succulent goats, starting with the Centre of the Known Universe and home to massive rivers driving Kenya’s hydro power, Gachuriri village in Mbeere, and then making our way to the edge of Mt.Kenya forest where we will experience unexplored and beautiful sceneries and beautiful nature trails in Murembu village and end up at the famous Charanna ranch in Subuiga where there’s some competitive off-roading to watch and nyama choma to enjoy. We don’t race, we enjoy the country side, the odd stops here and there and most definitely if it rains those muddy moments too.
How do I take part and what do I need? Entries are limited to 10 cars, deadline to sign up and join us on this interesting circuit is March 30th. It’s a self-drive trip so you must have your own four wheel drive with good clearance and functional diff-lock system. The trip is self-catering so carry your creature comforts and delights along with your camping gear and any other fancy stuff you’d like to have over a long weekend. You need to do is drop an email to club@bundurovers.co.ke <mailto:club@bundurovers.co.ke> indicating your interest in the event and we will give you more details thereafter. Don’t keep this information to yourself, tell a friend and share widely. Here’s to happy off-roading! Cheers.
